Invisible Waterproof Sealant Spray, 100g Anti-Leak Pipe Repair
Fast delivery from our Auckland warehouse
This waterproof sealant spray stops drips, weeps, and slow leaks in plumbing pipe joints, bathroom tile corners, and kitchen splashbacks without the visible silicone blob you get from traditional sealants. The 100g tube covers around 3 to 4 standard pipe joints and dries clear in 20 to 30 minutes, so most repairs are done in a single afternoon.
How the Waterproof Sealant Spray Works
Unlike silicone that leaves a thick, visible bead, this invisible waterproof sealant is a thin liquid that flows into the gap, then cures to a clear flexible film. The cured seal stays flexible down to -20 degrees C and up to 80 degrees C, so it handles hot water pipes, cold water pipes, and the expansion and contraction that comes with seasonal temperature changes in NZ homes.
- Dries clear and invisible, no visible silicone look on tiles, glass, or porcelain
- Flexible cured film, stretches with pipe movement instead of cracking
- Bonds to multiple surfaces, metal, PVC plastic, ceramic, concrete, and rubber
- Water resistant within 20 to 30 minutes, full cure in 24 hours
- 100g tube size, enough for 3 to 4 average pipe joint repairs
Where to Use It
This anti-leak sealant spray is designed for low-pressure water leaks and drips, not for active gushers. It works on the kind of slow leak that shows up as a stain on the ceiling below the bathroom, or a damp patch under the kitchen sink. For burst pipes, turn the water off first and call a plumber.
- Plumbing pipe joints, stop drips where threaded connections meet copper or PVC pipe
- Bathroom tile corners, seal the gap where the wall tile meets the shower base
- Kitchen splashbacks, waterproof the seam between the benchtop and the wall
- Window and door frames, block the wind-driven rain that seeps in during NZ winter storms
- Outdoor tap fittings, seal the junction where the garden tap meets the wall
- Concrete and masonry cracks, fill hairline cracks in basement walls before they let water in
How to Apply the Sealant
Surface prep matters. Wipe the area dry, remove any loose rust or old silicone, and shake the tube for 30 seconds. Apply a thin 1mm to 2mm bead across the leak, smooth it with a gloved finger within 5 minutes, and leave it to cure for 24 hours before running water through the joint.
- Step 1, turn off the water supply and dry the affected joint with a cloth
- Step 2, scrape away any loose rust, old silicone, or flaking paint from the surface
- Step 3, shake the 100g tube for 30 seconds, then unscrew the nozzle cap
- Step 4, apply a 1mm to 2mm bead across the leak, working from one end to the other
- Step 5, smooth the bead with a gloved finger within 5 minutes, then leave it to cure
- Step 6, wait 24 hours for full cure before turning the water back on

Frequently Asked Questions
- How long does the waterproof sealant spray take to dry?
The surface is dry to the touch in 20 to 30 minutes at 25 degrees C, but it needs 24 hours for a full water-resistant cure. Avoid running water through the joint during the first 24 hours.
- Can I use this sealant on a pipe that is still leaking?
For very slow drips, yes, apply the sealant over the leak and let it cure. For active gushers or high-pressure leaks, turn off the water first. The sealant works by bonding to the surface, so it needs a relatively dry area to grip.
- Is the cured sealant really invisible?
Yes. Once cured, the film is fully transparent and does not yellow over time. On glossy tiles, glass, and porcelain, the repair is essentially undetectable. On rough concrete, you may see a slight sheen where the film sits.
- What surfaces will the sealant bond to?
It bonds to metal (copper, brass, steel), PVC plastic, ceramic tile, concrete, rubber gaskets, and glass. It does not bond well to oily, waxy, or polyethylene surfaces, so wipe the area with rubbing alcohol first if it looks greasy.
- How many pipe joints can one 100g tube seal?
For typical 15mm to 22mm pipe joints with a 1mm to 2mm bead, one 100g tube covers around 3 to 4 joints. For longer beads on bigger fittings, expect 2 to 3 joints per tube.
- Is this sealant safe for drinking water pipes?
Once fully cured (24 hours), the film is inert and suitable for use on cold water lines. For hot water lines above 80 degrees C or potable water lines under constant pressure, we recommend a plumber-grade silicone or epoxy rated for that use.
