How the Automatic Sensor Works

Where to Install It

The 12V SMD 5050 LED strip works in any vehicle with a 12V battery. The most common spots are the inside roof of the boot, the side panels, or along the boot lip. For SUVs and hatchbacks, the strip also works along the tailgate interior for an ambient glow when the back door is open.

How to Install the LED Strip

Most installations take 5 to 10 minutes. Wipe the mounting surface with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, peel the backing, and stick the strip in place. Then connect the positive and negative wires to your existing boot light terminals.

• Step 1, open the boot and locate the existing 12V boot light wiring
• Step 2, wipe the mounting surface with rubbing alcohol and let it dry for 60 seconds
• Step 3, peel the adhesive backing and press the strip firmly in place for 30 seconds
• Step 4, connect the red wire to positive and the black wire to negative on the boot light circuit
• Step 5, test by opening and closing the boot 3 to 5 times to confirm the sensor triggers
